Honoring Excellence in Leadership, Scholarship & Service
Thank you for your interest in the ROTC and JROTC Medal and Certificate Program. The National Society United States Daughters of 1812 is proud to support and recognize outstanding cadets enrolled in ROTC and JROTC programs nationwide, including those at Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
To request an award for your high school, college unit, or DoDEA school, please complete the ROTC & JROTC Inquiry Form.
Your submission will be forwarded directly to your state's National Defense Committee, which will provide guidance and next steps. All awards are ordered and purchased by N.S.U.S.D. 1812 state societies and local chapters.

Award Criteria
The N.S.U.S.D. 1812 recognized ROTC and JROTC cadets who demonstrate:
- Academic excellence
- Leadership
- Dependability
- Patriotism
- Military profession development (ROTC)
Juniors and seniors who embody these qualities may be honored with a medal and certificate. Each year, local chapters and state societies present over 1,500 awards to deserving cadets in college and high school unites nationwide and overseas.
Award Details
- ROTC Gold Medal: Awarded to an outstanding collegiate junior or senior.
- JROTC Bronze Medal: Awarded to an exceptional high school junior or senior.
